Transfer from Chiangmai Airport to Mae
Ping Home Stay. Free at leisure or you can also take a walk
to rice fields nearby, offering exhilarating view of the countryside
or visiting neighborhood area to see the differences of local
lifestyles. Observe daily life and behaviors of the villagers
also have a look of the various housing styles in the neighborhood
area. |

Leave from hotel to visit Wat Phathad
Doi Suthep is a most sacred temple containing a holy relic
of the Lord Buddha. A panoramic view of the city can bee seen
from here at 3,500 feet above sea-level, then transfer to Wat
Suan Dok (A.D. 1371) where the ashes of Chiangmai’s Royal
Family are interred. Proceed to Wat Jed Yod with its
seven spires and unusual architecture commemorating the year
2000 of the Buddhist era. |

Visit the wooden area in the north
of the City to see elephants at work at Mae Sa Elephant Camp.
See the demonstration of elephants at work. Watching the elephants
taking their morning bath in the running streams before starting
their daily training and working. After that, depart to Queen
Sirikit Botanical Garden, which was established in 1992
in order to gather, conserve and strengthen studies and research
on Thai plants and an extensive library in the main building.
More than 700 species of plants with the emphasis on Thai flora
have been collected in the glasshouses. Then continue to visit
large Orchid Nursery. |

Leave for Chiang Rai by road
via Thaton, make a stop to visit Padong village which
are well-known as Long Neck Karen. Various Hill tribe
villages will be visited on the way. Continue to Chiang Rai,
Visit Mae Sai the furthest northern trading border town
between Thailand and Myanma. It is a busy trading town where
you spend times to shop for your souvenirs from Chiang Rai Trip.

After fill-up with a delicious Thai
style Lunch, tour will take you to the Golden Triangle
area, where the border of Thailand, Burma and Laos meet. Then,
visit Chiang Saen (A.D. 1260), the ancient city of Chiang
Rai, on the steep banks of Mae Khong River, opposite Laos. Witness
some magnificent, ancient ruins and temples. Return to Chiang
Mai, across the same mountainous route. Arrive back at your
hotel at about 19.00 pm. |

see exquisite high-fired stoneware being handmade by traditional

teak-wood craving and silverware making |
